Pacific Coast Naturals is an independent brokerage with a long-standing reputation for representing the finest quality lines in the natural products industry. We are a full-service brokerage that covers all of the Southern Pacific regions; southern California from San Luis Obispo south to the Mexican border, Las Vegas, Hawaii and Arizona.
Professional Sales Territory Management Team
Our professional sales territory management team are PCN’s front line for building trust, and confidence with all our accounts. We have one-on-one relationships with Team Leaders, Store Managers, Buyers and Retail personnel at major chains as well as independent stores. Category reviews, promotions, new product submissions and management coordination are strategically planned with key buyers at regularly scheduled meetings. All of our accounts are seen on a regular basis. Supportive literature is circulated and displayed for maximum exposure.
Connect Working Relationships
PCN will connect your business and products with the right stores, the right people and departments. PCN entertains an excellent working relationship with our retail chains and independent stores in southern California. We work closely and visit regularly stores like Whole Foods SoPac, Mothers Market, Sprout’s, Lassen’s, New Frontier’s, Jimbo’s Naturally, Co-Opportunity, Ocean Beach Peoples, Organic Roots and Erewhon. PCN also works hand in hand with distributors such as UNFI and Nature’s Best.
Facilitate The Sales Field Ride Along For Store Visits
Collaborating with our manufacturer’s teams, we plan and facilitate the sales field ride along for manufacturer visits to the stores, liaison meetings with store managers and corporate buyers.
Provide Merchandising Services
We specialize in creating merchandising displays to attract and show off our manufacturer’s product’s advantages. We make sure to keep shelves well-stocked with proper labeling and place signage for maximum shelf presence. Our team also takes part in periodic department resets to establish better store relationships and to expand product line or change its real estate for a better location.
Promotions and Advertising Contracts
We work closely with store buyers to set up vendor promotions with all stores – chain, independent, large and small using criteria from our manufacturer’s promotional calendars. We negotiate on-going and temporary price reductions and make sure the sales agreements are followed through with store support and plenty of product to sell during the promotional period. We collaborate with retailer’s advertising programs to highlight our special deals to their customers and negotiate case stacks, end caps, special displays and other means to bring our manufacturers products to the end user.
Promote and Take Part In Product Education
At Pacific Coast Naturals we consider product education to be one of our most important sales tools. We endeavor to help our sales team and the store’s employees become “experts” concerning your product line and company. Our field reps look for in-store education opportunities whenever possible. We plan dinner training meetings, organize support of manufacturer’s training webinars and bring company field support to the store’s training.
Provide A Demo Program
Pacific Coast Naturals has experienced the advantages of a well-run demo program. For most of our high-quality products the adage “ If they try it they will buy it.” holds true. Getting consumers to notice, engage with a product expert and experience your product is an important step to consumer awareness and increased sales. We offer administrative assistance coordinating demo providers and scheduling them to help support your promotions and events.

Darryl Biel – Pacific Coast Naturals President

Darryl Biel started in the natural products industry more than 30 years ago as the West Coast representative for a greens company. In that position, he alone managed a territory of three states where he grew his impressive knowledge of the industry and his love of natural products. Darryl says, “I credit my mother for getting me started in the industry when she introduced me to wheat germ supplements. I saw diet-related diseases all around me with five family members all passing away at early ages. I promised myself that would not happen to me. So I have dedicated myself to natural living and spreading the word that would help to improve lives every day.”
Landis McIntire – Pacific Coast Naturals Vice President

Landis McIntire is Vice-President, part owner and a founder of Pacific Coast Naturals. He has traveled extensively overseas including a two-year assignment with Peace Corps in West Africa. “The use of medicinal herbs by indigenous peoples in the Third World has often impressed me. In a number of cases, I saw firsthand that traditional native cures and preventatives were often more effective than the western approach to healing”. He has been a part of PCN since 1996.
Jan McIntire – Pacific Coast Naturals Vice President
Jan McIntire, also known as Jan Holdahl, is Vice President, part owner and a founder of Pacific Coast Naturals. Her career in the health industry started in 1986 as a sales consultant for Rainbow Light. As Jan fell in love with nutritional, herbal and aroma therapies she decided to bring on lines that she believed in and enjoyed using herself. As she worked with stores, manufacturers and customers in southern California her business grew and in 1996 she decided to merge with Darryl Biel and create Pacific Coast Naturals. “I’ve always considered myself lucky to have entered this wonderful industry and have had the opportunity to remain in it for 30 years. Pacific Coast Naturals’ ethics, the staff that we have brought on, the products we represent and our relationships with our stores and manufacturers are extremely rewarding. We look forward to growing our business while maintaining our standards and integrity for many more years to come”.
Bruce Weyman – Sales Director
Bruce Weyman was introduced to the Natural Products industry through his mother who managed sales for various brands over the course of a 35 year career. After essentially growing up in the industry, his first job post college was with the brokerage, Natural Specialties. This territory included Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina working with grocery brands such as Nature’s Path, Cascadian Farm, Back To Nature, etc. After several years Bruce was hired by Twin Laboratories to cover the Florida market for their 3 brands.
By the late 90’s he decided to pursue interests outside of the Natural industry however found his way back with his own snack food brand, Sally’s Smart Foods. Specializing in seasoned almonds, Sally’s Smart was founded on the west coast and thanks to support from Whole Foods, Lassen’s, Mother’s Market, Vitamin Cottage, etc. continued to grow for several years.
Most recently Bruce has been National Sales Manager for a long standing and well established supplement line with primary focus on managing broker groups and growing key accounts including Sprouts, Whole Foods, HEB, Fresh Thyme, etc.
Ossie Cohen – Territory Sales Manager
Los Angeles Territory
Over the past 14 years, Ossie Cohen has achieved consistent success in various industries through applying a solid set of management and relationship skills while being consistently focused on results. Ossie’s forte is relationships…connecting with consumers and staff to show how products will make their lives easier, happier and richer. In addition to English, Ossie speaks Spanish and Hebrew.
Lauren Vallar – Territory Sales Manager
Pasadena Northridge, Ventura Up To Calabasas and Bakersfield
Lauren Vallar is new to our sales team this year.
Lauren has always had a passion for health, where she holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in health and education. It wasn’t until her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2009 that she realized the importance of natural health and healing for the body. During this time, Lauren was teaching college health education classes in Illinois and decided to switch careers to work in the natural products industry. She worked in the Whole Body department at Whole Foods for two years, then decided to follow her dream of living in Southern California. She has worked in sales and education in the natural products industry and is a certified holistic health coach. “My passion for helping people heal naturally has fueled my desire to sell natural products that make a difference in people’s lives.”
Kellie Petrie – Territory Sales Manager
San Diego and Inland Empire Territory
Natural products have always been a part of Kellie’s life. From an early age, she was introduced to the benefits of natural remedies such as echinacea, arnica, and calendula. Kellie Petrie states, “As I got older and moved into the work field my jobs always seemed to align with the love and respect I have for the natural products industry.” Kellie has worked in the body care department in the retail health industry. She wanted to deepen her knowledge of natural products…to grow, learn and challenge herself. She brings her enthusiasm and knowledge to Pacific Coast Naturals.
Lucia Villalva – Territory Sales Manager
Lucia discovered her passion for natural and organic foods and products in 2007 after her mother began working at Whole Foods Market. After working at Whole Foods herself for 6 years Lucia decided she wanted to bring what she had learned about healthy living to educate and promote wellness beyond the health food store realm. She has since become a certified herbalist and is eager to share her knowledge and passion of natural alternatives for just about any problem. “I want to continue my knowledge and training in this industry and help as many people as possible achieve a better quality of life on every level.”
Bianca Candelaria – Territory Sales Manager
In 2007, Bianca Candelaria discovered the world of all-natural organic products when she walked into a Whole Foods Market. Soon afterwards she became the assistant marketing manager at Whole Foods Market in Arizona. Bianca has owned a demo company that focused on natural products and has since become a certified herbalist. “My passion for quality and experience with the best products in the market have led me to become a broker and representative of all-natural/organic products. I love every moment of what I do and have plans to further my education in natural living”.
Shelly Heflin – Administrative Assistant
Shelly Heflin joined Pacific Coast Naturals in 2015 to be their Administrative Assistant. Prior to PCN, she managed logistics for a manufacturing company in the juvenile industry. It was the 15 years in this role where she honed her organizational talent, ability to develop workflow systems, manage multiple projects and to expand on her understanding of computer software and Internet applications. She’s loving her new role with PCN in the Natural Products industry.
